The U.S. House of Representatives has reworded its rules to be gender neutral. Hallelujah!

  1. It's shocking that this has taken so long. We struggled with these language issues in the late 80s and 90s in schools and private businesses. I believe that the changes in language that resulted from those debates did, in fact, create a change in thinking which, in turn, produced a platform on which women have been able to stand and reach higher than prior power structures allowed. The age-old PC argument is that language doesn't matter; well, it does!
